Traumatic experience:

Patrick was verbally and emotionally bullied in junior high and then high school where it was the worst.

Effects of the traumatic experience:

The bullying left Patrick with a low self-esteem, no ambitions, shame, and feeling helpless and hopeless.

Overcoming the traumatic experience:

Writing his book as well as having a support system have helped Patrick get to where he is today.

What Patrick does today:

Patrick is an author.

Final Question:

Given what you know now, if you could go back to when you were going through the tough times and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?

Patrick's Answer: Don't give up.
