The Details
Traumatic experience:
Davis was bullied at school during the ages of 5-14 just because he didn't fit in to the society he was growing up in.
Effects of the traumatic experience:
Two of the biggest ways in which Davis was affected were lacking confidence and not being able to develop any social skills.
Overcoming the traumatic experience:
Davis's determination to have a better life led him to find ways to achieve his dreams. He did this by facing his fears, including the fear of public speaking. Public speaking has been a big contributor in Davis regaining his confidence.
What Davis does today:
Davis is an undergraduate student at Yale University and will be graduating in May. He also runs his website ClickwithAnyone.com.
Final Question:
Given what you know now, if you could go back to when you were going through the tough times and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?
Davis's Answer: Don't let your environment stop you from becoming the person you want to be.
