In this episode, I’m joined by Kelley Rheault. Kelley joins me to share her story of how she’s been able to create a fulfilling life for herself and be able to fully accept herself for who she is rather than becoming a victim of her circumstances growing up and allowing that to hold her back in life.

The Details
Traumatic experience:
Kelley grew up without a normal family structure where she spent time in foster care and never knew her biological father.
Effects of the traumatic experience:
As a result of how she grew up, Kelley dealt with abandonment issues that made her fearful of losing everything, like she was not good enough and that she needed to be perfect or someone would leave. Kelley felt like she had to “be someone” to be loved. Her home situation also affected her experience at school and with her friends.
Overcoming the traumatic experience:
Kelley launched a lifetime path of self-discovery while still in high school to come to a place of self-love and acceptance.
What Kelley does today: Kelley is an independent agent for LegalShield.
Final Question:
Given what you know now, if you could go back to when you were going through the tough times and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?
Kelley's Answer: Constantly focus on the good.
