The Details
Traumatic experience:
Jade had a traumatic childhood growing up, but today she shares with us the most traumatic experience she has had as an adult. Jade's life was at stake when she was basically held captive and tortured for 6 hours one night by her ex boyfriend, who later on ended up committing suicide.
Effects of the traumatic experience:
Jade experienced a lot of feelings of self-blame, self-responsibility and regret over the passing of her ex. She also experienced fear of living alone and letting people into her life again for a period of time after this experience.
Overcoming the traumatic experience:
Some of the things that have helped jade to overcome the traumatic experience with her ex boyfriend as well other experiences in her past include: therapy, self-help books, becoming more self-aware, having a willingness to heal, forgiveness, energy healing and The Sedona Method.
What Jade does today:
Jade is a podcaster, life coach and inspirational speaker.
Final Question:
Given what you know now, if you could go back to when you were going through the tough times and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?
Jade's Answer: Learn to love yourself no matter what and embrace who you truly are.
