The Details
Traumatic experience:
Emily was born into an abusive household where she was mentally, emotionally, physically and sexually abused as she was growing up.
Effects of the traumatic experience:
Emily had difficulty trusting others and feeling safe with men. She also felt unlovable and unworthy of love.
Overcoming the traumatic experience:
Therapy, establishing boundaries, working on her belief systems, developing her intuition and spirituality, focusing on self-care, and surrounding herself by those who support her are all things that have helped Emily get to where she is today.
What Emily does today:
Emily is a spiritual teacher and intuitive.
Final Question:
Given what you know now, if you could go back to when you were going through the tough times and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?
Emily's Answer: This isn't who you are, it's just a part of you and you are worthy of love.
